A Poem
What makes me sad?
In the four walls of my room bounce echoes
from laughter, giggles from naughty remarks
and senseless stories, and the tiresome sounds
of printers and of phone ringings.
I laugh with them too.
But deep within me is a lonely and a sad person,
who wishes too that the owners of these sounds
learn to laugh and to giggle from comforting
words that I heard of about God and His gospel,
and His plan of salvation to mankind.
Can't they see the Christian in me?
It gives me an indifferent feeling,
as I watch in the blank walls of their stare
it seems they tire of listening
even when I haven't finished yet a sentence or two
whenever I talk about God's good news.
I pray to God to help me become a tasty salt
in the midst of my fellows and I even wish
to become the very best in that place
so that whenever they look up to me,
they will find not just a hard worker
but a son of God too.
